Celebrating National Dumpling Week with Food & Art – a collaboration with Chef Martin Yan

To honor National Dumpling Week on September 22nd – 29th, I joined forces with the esteemed James Beard Life Time Achievement Award-winning Chef Martin Yan, harnessing the fusion of food and art to foster unity in San Francisco. I created an illustrative menu spotlighting Chef Yan’s renowned 8 Treasure dumplings, utilizing Adobe’s innovative artistic tool, Fresco. This cutting-edge application enabled me to craft watercolor artwork directly on an iPad, infusing our collaboration with digital artistry.

Our joint effort celebrates Chef Martin Yan’s latest culinary masterpiece: the Great 8 Steamed Dim Sum Basket. This collection contains eight meticulously crafted dumplings, each a harmonious blend of distinctive flavors and styles intricately formed into diverse shapes and filled with delectable ingredients. Available for enjoyment during September, the national dumpling month. This culinary extravaganza showcases the richness of Chinese cuisine and highlights the limitless creativity in the world of dumplings.
